Dr. Lannis Hall, MD, MPH, an associate professor of clinical radiation oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been honored with one of the 2025 Provost Impact Awards by the WashU Confluence Collaborative. This accolade celebrates the program titled “Empowering Young Women Through Breast Health Education: A Partnership with Siteman Cancer Center and Hazelwood School District.” This educational initiative has benefited the St. Louis region by educating 7,000 high school young ladies since 2018.
Dr. Hall also holds multiple pivotal roles including vice chair of the clinical research committee and director of clinical studies outreach at Siteman Cancer Center. She is the medical director of radiation oncology at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and serves as the clinical trials leader for the Program to Eliminate Cancer Disparities. She is a co-founder of the Prostate Cancer Coalition, contributing significantly to the timely screening, management, and treatment of men with prostate cancer. These efforts have helped double the screening rates for prostate cancer throughout the BJC catchment area in the past five years.
Additionally, Dr. Hall is deeply involved in community cancer prevention efforts through her leadership in the partnership between Siteman Cancer Center and the First Ladies of St. Louis— a group comprising 32 wives of pastors dedicated to promoting health and wellness in the greater St. Louis community. This partnership actively advances cancer prevention, awareness and screening throughout the region, and hosts the largest annual cancer screening event.
