Biography

Xiandong Zhao, PhD, is an assistant professor of radiation oncology who joined the physics team in 2023. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington University in St. Louis in 2021, and then completed his residency in Medical Physics at Washington University in St. Louis in 2023. Before that, he received his PhD in Particle Physics at Southern Methodist University. Xiandong currently has multiple interests in medical physics research including proton therapy, FLASH, and nanoparticle aided RT.
