Our Locations

Clinical services are provided by department physicians and physics faculty exclusively at the main campus of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and four satellite locations, including the Siteman Cancer Center – South County, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, Christian Hospital and Alton Memorial Hospital. Department physician faculty also provide part-time support at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.

Siteman Cancer Center at the Center for Advanced Medicine

In 2001, the department began treating patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in the lower level of the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) housing the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center. Approximately 70 percent of the department’s clinical volume is performed in the CAM with brachytherapy, Gamma Knife, proton therapy, and MR-guided therapy procedures provided exclusively.

Parking

Parking (includes maps and valet information) »
Parking validation is available at the Radiation Oncology front desk. For consults and on-treatment visits, 100 percent of your parking charge will be validated. For follow-up appointments, 50 percent of your parking charge will be validated.

If you choose to take advantage of the valet service, please note that there is an additional $2 service fee that is not included in validation unless your vehicle displays a disabled placard.

Patients may be dropped off in the valet parking area, and the driver may self-park in one of the garages.

Siteman Cancer Center-South County

The Siteman Cancer Center-South County opened in 2013 with one LINAC. A second LINAC is being installed and will begin treating patients in early 2017. In addition to radiation oncology, medical oncology and surgical oncology see patients at the center. The center is adjacent to the Center for Advanced Medicine – South County, which opened in the spring of 2016. The center provides outpatient surgery and physical therapy. Radiology services include X-rays, CT, MRI, and screening mammography. Numerous specialists see patients including neurosurgery, cardiology, orthopedics, surgery and others.

Christian Hospital

Radiation oncology services began at Christian as free standing services in 1981 and was purchased by the hospital in 1991. Washington University Radiation Oncology began providing radiation oncology services at Christian Hospital in 2010. Medical Oncology services are currently offered by community based private practice physicians.

Alton Memorial Hospital

In August 2016, the Department of Radiation Oncology began providing exclusive full-time radiation oncology services. Services were previously provided primarily by a hospital employed radiation oncologist. Prior to August, the School of Medicine assisted with part-time coverage. The department’s Medical Physics Division began providing full-time services to AMH in 2014. The radiation oncology program was initially established in 2005.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital

The original center opened in 2006 and is undergoing extensive construction. The Department of Radiation Oncology began providing part-time services at this location in 2014. At the same time, the School of Medicine’s Division of Medical Oncology began providing exclusive services. The Department of Radiation Oncology also provides an on-site clinical research coordinator available for enrollment to clinical trials.
