Changes to administrative leadership roles

We are pleased to announce two exciting changes to administrative leadership roles of clinical services.

Dr. Hyun Kim has accepted the role for Chief of the GI service effective April, 2020. He has done a tremendous job fulfilling the role of interim chief of service since May, 2019.  Dr. Kim attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and trained in the Thomas Jefferson University residency program. He has been a member of our department faculty since 2017. He has made a number of accomplishments, notably he has led our ViewRay registry and has been instrumental in MR-Guided Radiation Therapy trials.

Dr. Brian Baumann has accepted the role for Chief of the GU service effective April, 2020. Dr. Baumann attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia and trained in the University of Pennsylvania residency program. He has been a member of our department faculty since 2017. He has made a number of accomplishments, notably reporting on clinical trials of adjuvant radiation therapy for bladder cancer and the benefits of proton therapy compared to xray therapy.

These roles plays an important part in our mission to provide outstanding care for our patients, lead clinical trial development and academic initiatives to advance the field of radiation oncology. We look forward to their leadership and please join us in congratulating Hyun and Brian.
